Blue Opal/Electrics/Monitoring
Titan Lithium
Titan provide a Bluetooth connected application with machine learning. Useful, but only works with a phone.
Victron
Having replaced the solar controller with a MPPT 75/15, a Cerbo GX Mk2 joined the menagerie too.
Titan's pinout is pins 5 and 6 for CAN H and L, no ground documented. Internal resistor appears to not exist (or I have mislaid the terminator for the chain; eminently possible).
Victron's VE. CAN uses pins 7 and 8 for H and L. Straight through wiring for differential signalling. Custom cable is trivial with 8P8C connectors and any category of copper Ethernet cable.
The VE CAN bus needs to be flipped to 500 kbit/s mode to see the battery. Settings > Services > VE Can 1 > CAN-bus profile > CAN BMS LV 500 kbit/s
At that point the state of charge etc will show up at the top level of the settings menu.
The MPPT requires a VE Direct cable to communicate with the 75/15. Mini JST socket, so can be self-built, but easier to just get one from somewhere like thepowerstore.ie.
Automation
The Cerbo GX is running the large image with Node-RED enabled.
The light blue components are part of the UI toolkit, providing a web UI to show the state of charge, the auto/on/off toggle (radio) and the minimum state of charge limit that feeds the hysteresis function as a lower bound.
The flow itself is File:Victron-charge-controller-flow.json
Victron UI v2
The newer UI is certainly flashier than the old one, but is also pretty easy to get an at-a-glance view of the system.
